27 February 2026
Dear youth, parents, guardians, and our wider ministry partners in the gospel,
We are writing to share with you some exciting developments in the youth ministry of our church, ConneXion Youth Group. From Term 2, 2026, we will be partnering on a weekly, ongoing basis with the youth group of Beverly Hills Anglican Church (bhkanglican.org.au).
This partnership comes after much prayer, discussion, and collaboration between the leadership teams of both churches. South‑West Evangelical Church and Beverly Hills Anglican Church have long been closely aligned theologically, and we share a deep commitment to helping young people know and follow Jesus.
Youth ministry has always been a significant part of our church’s mission. Since our church was launched and planted in Kingsgrove back in 2009, ConneXion has sought to connect with young people and disciple them in Christ. Over the years, we have seen God graciously bring many youth to hear the good news of Jesus, grow in their faith, and have their lives transformed by Him.
We believe this partnership is a strategic and timely opportunity. Together, our churches share a vision to reach high‑school‑aged youth with the gospel, to provide a vibrant and welcoming community, and to equip the next generation to live for Jesus. This partnership will also strengthen our ministry to youth by sharing resources between our churches, particularly with staff youth workers Keats and Joanna joining us from Beverly Hills Anglican Church. We believe this will allow us to offer a richer, more sustainable youth ministry for years to come.
We, your ConneXion youth leaders, want you to know that you matter deeply to us. There will be some changes to our usual routine, and we want to walk through them with you. We are still one youth group, united as part of SWEC, and we’re committed to caring for you throughout this transition. If you have questions, worries, or just want to talk about what these changes might mean, please come and chat with us. One of the great joys of being part of a church youth group is that we belong to Jesus’ family together — and families pray for one another.
If you or your child have any concerns or would benefit from a conversation with one of our leaders, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We value your partnership and want to support your family as we move into this next chapter together.
We would deeply appreciate your prayers as we take these next steps forward. 🙏🙏
Please join us in praying for:
We recognise that this represents a significant change for our youth ministry. Even so, our commitment remains the same: to provide a safe, welcoming, and Christ‑centred environment where young people can have fun, build friendships, and discover the new life Jesus offers. We’re genuinely excited for the gospel opportunities this partnership will open up. Over the coming weeks, we will continue working through the practical details of this partnership, including Safe Ministry processes, logistics, and communication. We will keep you updated as plans take shape. Thank you for your patience, support, and prayers as we step into this new season.
